Performance Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Performance Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and diagnose performance issues, develop and execute performance tests, and make recommendations for optimizing system performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute performance test plans, scripts and analyze test results.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in production, optimize code performance and scalability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and diagnose performance issues, and make recommendations for optimizing system performance.
• Monitor system performance in production and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate performance testing and monitoring.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to performance engineering.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development process and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with performance testing of web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development practices.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Experience with machine learning or data analytics is a plus.
